I was born 1929 on Main street, East Greenville, one block away from her home where she was born. I knew Jean as I can remember, since 3 year of age. Her Dad, Clarence and my Dad, Melvin Faut were good friends. I sang in the church choir with her many years. Many memories.

I will not forget, as a new resident on Jefferson St., the time I first met Jean. I had just moved into my house that day in May 2019, when I heard a knock at the front door. When I opened the door I was greeted by a gentile woman with a bright, beaming smile. She introduced herself and said welcome to Jefferson St., handing me a plate of wonderful, homemade cookies. What I didn't know then was that there was a touch of laughter, gardening, big band music, and friendship baked into those cookies that were handed to me that day. I know that now. Thank you Jean.
