Jean Ann (Dawson) Harding, a woman who loved life and loved the Lord, passed away November 13, 2025 in Grants, NM. She was 71 years old.
Born in Meeker, OK, as a child, her family moved to Grants where her dad opened an office supply business. Jean Ann graduated from Grants High School in 1972 and attended UNM to study dental assisting. She later received a bachelor degree in Business Administration at New Mexico State University.
She worked at the office supply business, as a preschool teacher, and for many years she managed a Farm Bureau Insurance agency. She supported the community in many ways and was a member of P.E.O. (a women's philanthropic organization). She easily made many lasting friends.
She was quick to laugh and had a great sense of humor. Her family, and particularly her grandchildren, were the loves of her life and kept her busy going to baseball games, rodeos, and livestock shows.
Later in life she married Charlie Harding, a rancher from Grants. They enjoyed exploring many new places ... from Hawaii to Alaska to New York and cruises from the Canadian side of Niagra Falls through the Great Lakes, and the Missippi River.
She is survived by her husband Charlie Harding ; her daughter, Lindsey Hansen and husband Jeff, grandchildren Bryce and Brady; sister Nancy Tillman and husband Mike; along with many other beloved extended family members.
She is preceded in death by her parents Gene and Dorothy Dawson.
A funeral service will be held Monday, November 24th at 10 am at First Presbyterian Church on Nimitz Drive in Grants with a reception following at La Ventana on Geis St.
