Jean Heth Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Albrecht Funeral Homes & Cremation Services - Milton on Oct. 1, 2025.
Jean M. Heth entered into her eternal rest on January 22, 2025. Jean was born on a balmy day in December 1931, the only daughter of Paul and Ethel Gutzman. She joined her four bothers in a lively and joyful home. Jean graduated from Janesville High School in 1950. She married the love of her life, Dwayne Heth, on June 25, 1955, the 30th anniversary of her parents' wedding. Their marriage of 54 years was blessed with five children. Jean and Dwayne had a busy life together on the farm in rural Milton raising cattle, poultry and crops in addition to their children. Jean was the glue which kept everything working well and truly was the maker of the home. In their later years, Jean and Dwayne traveled throughout our nation and visited several foreign countries. A travel highlight was a 50th wedding anniversary trip which took the entire family to Hawaii. Jean was a long-time member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran church, worked as an election poll worker in Milton for many years and delivered Meals on Wheels for a time. Jean is survived by her five children: Jim (Jackie) of Mineral Point, Sue (Keith) Prince of Menomonee Falls, Dave of Milton, Barb (Gerry Baier) of Rhinelander and Phil (Beccy Garber) of Milton. Jean is also survived by nine grandchildren: Elizabeth (Aaron) Straub, Debbie Heth, Melissa Prince, Stephanie (Derek Lowary) Prince, Kellie Prince, Mike (Caitlin) Heth, Ann (Justin) Frohmader, Kasie Heth, and Frank Heth; six great grandchildren; one brother and his spouse, Everett (Jan) Gutzman; a sister-in-law Marilyn Meister, and many nieces and one nephew. Jean is preceded in death by her beloved husband Dwayne, her parents and three brothers and their spouses: Roy (Frances), Clarence (Valida) and Lyle (Muriel).
