Jean Louise Jarrett, daughter of the late David Vierkant and Nora (Sherbino) Vierkant, was born April 26, 1940, in Aredale, Iowa. She departed this life on August 24, 2025, in Hartville, Missouri, at the age of 85.
Growing up in Iowa, Jean would spend summers in Missouri with her grandpa and grandma Vierkant. Later in life, when her health began to fail, she moved to Missouri to live with her son, Ted. Jean was a person who enjoyed talking with others. She never met a stranger. She could strike up a conversation with anyone.
Besides her parents, Jean was preceded in death by one son, Kevin Jarrett; and one daughter-in-law, Betty Jo Jarrett.
Jean is survived by one son, Ted Jarrett of Hartville, Missouri; one daughter, Theresa Boerma and husband, Tom, of Eldorado, Kansas; eight grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
The Jarrett family is planning a memorial graveside to be held at a later date.
