Jean Eleanor Magner

Jean Eleanor Magner, age 88, of Newark, DE, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2022.
Born in Elizabeth, NJ on April 9, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Soerena (Schigur) Eldred. Jean made her career as a file clerk at MBNA for many dedicated years.
Jean loved talking about current events and politics. She enjoyed decorating her home and filling it with artwork, she especially liked watercolor.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Magner; and sister, Nancy Marple. She is survived by her loving daughters, Linda Magner of Newark, DE, Nancy Hagquist of Dallas, TX, and Kathleen Magner and her partner Robert Pasquale of Wilmington, DE; 5 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 454 Bow Street, Elkton, MD.
