Jean Major Obituary

Jean was born in Charlotte on January 8, 1936, the daughter of Willie and Robbie Mae Tipton Clemmons. She married William Ed Major, who preceded her in death. She enjoyed many things in life, but she loved to be with family and friends. Her greatest joy was being Granny to Finley and Brylee who loved her dearly.
She is survived by two sons: Randy (wife Fran) Brown and Marshall (wife Jennifer) Major and their children Finley and Brylee. She is further survived by her brother, Wayne (wife Judy) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jean was preceded in death by many siblings: James Hugh, Mary Bell, Glen Clemons, Charles Clemons, Anne Franklin and Jerry Clemons.
Jean's family has given the family of Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home the privilege of caring for her and for them.
Services will take place on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Unionville Baptist Church in Monroe, 510 Baucom Road, Monroe, NC 28110. Visitation will begin at 11 AM with services to follow at 1 PM.
