It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jean Elizabeth Sample, 84, who departed this world peacefully on July 13, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Jean lived a life marked by extraordinary thoughtfulness, kindness, and grace. She was the most attentive and intentional person, always giving her all to everyone around her, whether in a quiet conversation or a moment of laughter. With her generous and vibrant spirit, boundless energy, and servant's heart, she truly cared for each person she met, making everyone feel seen and cherished-like a hummingbird flitting with purpose and joy. Jean was filled with laughter, unwavering support, and was a source of warmth and wisdom. She was the heart of her family-a loving mother, devoted mother-in-law, and cherished grandmother-steadfast in love and generous in spirit. Her legacy lives on in the values she passed down and the countless memories shared by those who knew her best. The world is forever changed without her light in it. She is survived by her beloved children, Tony Sample, Tracey Kornemann, and Craig Sample; her 13 grandchildren; and her 4 great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved deeply and endlessly. Jean now joins in heaven her mother Agnes, her father Hugo, and her dear sisters Joan, Gail, Catherine, and Christina. Meet you in the garden of roses Mom… Her family would like to thank everyone for the love and support shown during her final days. Jean's memory will be held close by all who were fortunate enough to know her. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, August 9, 2025, 1:00 PM, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Anderson, IN, with Rev. Tom Metzger officiating. Inurnment will take place in the Grovelawn Cemetery, Pendleton. Arrangements have been entrusted to Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Armarillo, TX and Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory of Anderson, IN. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anderson, IN and/or St Mary's Cathedral in Amarillo, TX. www.LooseCares.com
