Jean A. (Shaffer) Shuler, 90, of Pottstown, formerly of Norristown, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023 with family by her side. She was the loving wife of the late Charles W. Shuler.
Born in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Arlene (Romaine) Shaffer.
Jean was a family person and always put them first. She was a very quiet person; loving mother and extended kindness & love to everyone she met. Jean or "Nanny" as most of the family called her, loved to do puzzles, watch John Wayne movies, fish, and most importantly surround herself with her family.
For many years, she worked as a waitress at Baron's as well as taking care of dozens of children for families that served in the Norristown Police Department.
Jean leaves behind her five children, Charles Shuler, Deborah McKeon (Joe), Barbara Benson (Al), Richard Shuler (Denise), and Robert Shuler (Deana); her nine grandchildren, Nic (Renee), Chuckie (Natalie), Rickey (Julia), Christopher, Devon, Madison, Emily, Jacob (Bryana), and Peyton; four great-grandchildren, Liam, Gavin, Hayleigh and Braelyn.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her siblings Sonny Shaffer and Doris McCurdy.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family Friday, January 5, 2024 from 10:00 AM until her Funeral Services begin at 11:00 AM at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA 18041. Interment to follow at Boehm's Cemetery in Blue Bell.
