Jean "Jeannie" Lucille Stroven, age 76 of Fremont, went to be with her Lord and Savior early Monday morning, August 7, 2023. She was born on February 23, 1947 in Fremont, Michigan to Charles "Chuck" & Virginia (Kempf) Comis. Jean had been a CNA, homemaker, dairy herdsman & farmer. She had also been the Dayton Township clerk, sexton, and an election official. Jeannie was a 4-H leader, and she loved horses, flowers, genealogy, quilting, cooking, & baking. On April 1, 1966 she married Ken Stroven and he survives her along with 9 children: Kandi (Chris) Randall, Melody (Ray) VanderMolen, Bob (Jessica) Stroven, Amy (Terry) Ekkel, Kenny Stroven, Georgia (Larry) Andres, Andrea (Jay) Langler, Jeremy (Cymber) Stroven, Katelyn (Ben) Zeits; 36 grandchildren & 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Ken (Nancy) Comis; sister-in-law, Nancy Comis; many brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, nieces & nephews. Jeannie was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Larry Comis and sister & her husband, Nancy & Jim Hines. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, August 11, 2023 at First Reformed Church in Fremont with Pastor Joel Zuidema officiating. Interment will be in Jewell Cemetery. Visitation will be at Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home from 4-6 PM on Thursday, and at the church from 10:30-11:30 AM on Friday. Suggested Memorial: First Reformed Church in Fremont.
