Jean E. Urschel

Jean E. Urschel, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend passed away at home on December 13, 2024 at the age of 78. She was born in Germantown, OH on October 5, 1946 to the late Howard "Gene" and Mary Agnes Kern.

Jean was a graduate of Germantown High School, class of 1964 and worked for the Germantown Public Library for 43 years, and was a Mary Kay Consultant for 27 years. She was currently attending Antioch United Methodist Church in Trotwood and enjoyed babysitting her great grandkids and spending time with her family and friends.

Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Charles L. Urschel of 26 years. Jean is survived by her daughters Mandy (Keith) Ward and Molly (Jeff) Henson, grandchildren David (Natasha), Chaz, Zach and Katie (Dalton), great grandchildren Payton, Brayden, Braxton and Elena. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 from 4-6pm at the Arpp, Root & Carter Funeral Home, 29 N Main St. Germantown. Funeral Services will follow beginning at 6:00pm with Pastor Keith Smallenbarger officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Heart Association, or Farmersville Fire and Rescue.
