Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions - Centerville ChapelJean (Spears) Williams, 73, of Centerville was called home to be with the Lord on October 8, 2025. Born on March 7, 1952 in Peebles to Ernest Spears and Lucille (Hull) Spears, she called Hillsboro home for many years. It was there she met the love of her life, Dave. They were married on September 30, 1988. Jean dedicated her life to caring for others working at Highland District Hospital for 18 years, and caring for her mother and husband.
Jean enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, country living and a good margarita on the rocks. Everyone who knew Jean would describe her as a sweet, loving, wonderful soul who could be quite the firecracker and was always a devoted Mamaw.
Jean is survived by both of her children: Chad (Carla) Countryman of Bellbrook and Sarah Williams of Centerville. She is also survived by her "oldest favorite" grandson, Owen Countryman and her "youngest favorite" grandson, Jacob Williams. Jean also leaves behind many friends and loved ones who she thought the world of. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dave Williams (March 26, 2011) who she is now reunited with.
A celebration of life will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 820 Miamisburg Centerville Rd, Dayton, OH 45459, on October 26, 2025 at 1 PM, with service to follow at 3 PM.
