Jean Worley, age 95 years, of the Smithtown Community died Thursday, December 19, 2024 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.
Jean was born in Whitley City, Kentucky on September 13, 1929 the daughter of the late Wiley and Bessie (Grant) Foster. She had been a supervisor at the Shirt Factory and Cook in the McCreary County School System and was a member of the Redemption Way Church. Reading, cooking, shopping especially QVC, and sewing were her favorite past times.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Hurstle “Whiz” Worley; son, Larry Worley; brothers, Edward Foster, Clifford Foster, Ernest Foster, and Shelby Foster; sister, Bernice Foster; and 3 grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons, Roger Worley (Debbie) and Bruce Worley both of Stearns, Kentucky; daughter, Sheila Ann King (Logan) of Somerset, Kentucky; 8 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2pm Saturday, December 21, 2024 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Braxton King and Bro. Jeff Bryant officiating. Burial to follow in the Angel Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 12pm Saturday at the Funeral Home.
