Jeaneen Eddie Naifeh, age 95, passed away peacefully on August 24th, 2024, reunited with her beloved husband, Robert Z Naifeh, and son, Bradley Z Naifeh, in the arms of the angels. Jeaneen was surrounded by her loving family.
The daughter of Kamil and Bettie Eddie, Jeaneen was born a few minutes after her twin brother, Gene, on August 15th, 1929 in the family home at 44th and N.Classen. Her father, Kamil Eddie, founded the Eddie Feed store. He was later joined by younger brother, B.D. ”Babe” Eddie and together jointly owned what was to become “Superior Feeds.” They had promised their parents that they would raise their families together under one roof. And that they did, buying what was to become the “Eddie home” at Wilshire and N. Pennsylvania.
Jeaneen was a proud graduate of Classen High School and Oklahoma City University. Jeaneen’s journey was marked by her unwavering commitment to education and personal growth. Her life was defined by her boundless generosity and compassion. She was a dedicated philanthropist, offering her time, resources, and support to countless charitable causes. Her altruism touched the lives of many and left an indelible mark on Oklahoma City. Jeaneen served as honorary chair for The Allied Arts 2012 Campaign, Julliette Low Leadership Society Annual Luncheon benefiting Girls Scouts of Western Oklahoma, and The Oklahoma City Museum of Art Renaissance Ball.
As a devoted wife, Jeaneen stood by her husband, Robert (Bob), for 60 years. Together Jeaneen and Bob faced life's challenges with resilience and unwavering love from building a business to raising 4 children. In their later years, Jeaneen and Bob enjoyed traveling the world. On their travels, they never met a stranger and made many lifelong friends.
Jeaneen was preceded in death by her parents Kamil D. and Bettie R. Eddie, husband Robert Z Naifeh, son Bradley Z Naifeh, and her siblings Carolyn Eddie Jabara, Kay Eddie, Jeanette Eddie Swyden, Roger Eddie, Gene Eddie, and her cousin Gloria Eddie Farha whom she grew up with like a sister in the same household.
She is survived by her children, Stanley and wife Bonnie Naifeh, Gregory Naifeh and Lisa Booth, Jenee Naifeh Lister and husband Darren, daughter-in-law Valerie Naifeh; grandchildren, Nicole Tobin (Oliver), Megan Fleischfresser (Kyle), Kyle Naifeh (Brooke), Max Naifeh, Annissa Naifeh, Leigh Naifeh (Nicholas Owen), Dylan Lister, and Madelyn Lister; great-grandchildren, Agnes Fleischfresser, Ida Fleischfresser, Poppy Tobin, Georgina Tobin, Knox Naifeh, and her sisters-in-law Leilah Farha, Wichita, KS. and Edna Mae Naifeh. We are deeply grateful for the love and compassion given to our Mother from Cora Cart. Cora is more than a caregiver; she has become a part of our family. Special thanks to the caregivers of Supreme Home Care Services and Good Shepherd Hospice.
Jeaneen's legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Elijah Orthodox Christian Church Flower That Do Not Wither Fund, Oklahoma City University Robert Naifeh Scholarship Fund, and Oklahoma City Museum of Art in memory of Jeaneen's dedication to making the world a better place.
