Jeanene Robey Tackett, 92, died at home with family by her side on March 7, 2025, in Stamping Ground, Kentucky. She was born in Scott County to the late Elza and Forrest Robey on July 9, 1932. Jeanene was a loving wife and mother to her three children. Her whole life was about her family. She was a Christian and loved the Lord. She was a member of Northside Christian Church.
Jeanene is survived by her husband of 76 years, Gayle Lee Tackett, a sister-in-law Kay Hardin, her children, Marlene Tackett of Lexington, Gerald (Debbie) Tackett of Stamping Ground and Joy (Larry) Lay of Stamping Ground. Her grandchildren, Robin Hayes, Kristin (Sean) Holder, Matthew (Julie) Tackett, Andrew (Jessica) Tackett, Jordan (Elizabeth) Tackett, Lee Shannon (Trampus) Offutt, and Jenna (Ryan) Vance, her great grandchildren, Nicholas Hayes, Madeline Hayes, Conner Holder, Cameron Holder, Christian Holder, Grace (Mac) Price, Anna Kate (Chris) Cline, Emily Tackett, Jacob Tackett, Graham Tackett, Hunter Tackett, Arthur Tackett, Brady Offutt, Jonathan Offutt, Ariah Vance, and Owen Vance, and a great, great granddaughter, Moriah Price.
Services for Jeanene will be on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Tucker, Yocum, & Wilson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The funeral will begin at 1:00 pm with Reverend Tommy Simpson officiating. Burial will follow at the Georgetown Cemetery, where Pallbearers will be Andrew Tackett, Jordan Lucas Tackett, Trampus Offutt, Jonathan Offutt, Shawn Parrish, and Barry Hardin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Wallace Wilson, Charlie Hardin, and David McDowell.
