Jeanette M. (Tomski) Decker, age 64, of
Brookville, PA, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at home. Jeanette was born in Tonawanda, NY, on August 30, 1961, to the late Donald G. and Sandra (Thom) Tomski.
Jeanette was a 1981 graduate of Brookville High School in
Brookville, PA, and Jeff Tech Vocational School in Reynoldsville, PA, with a specialized trade in food service. Throughout her lifetime, Jeanette had worked at various establishments in
Brookville, PA, including Sunoco Gas Station for many years, the Forest Way Inn, and Bill's Bar.
Jeanette married her true love, Lawrence Decker, on June 9, 2000, in
Brookville, PA; he survives. They shared a life of unity, love, and companionship for over twenty-five years, while raising their children together as a family.
Jeanette loved playing bingo, tending to her garden, which had to be one of the largest ones in Brookville. She cherished family dinner time, when everyone would gather together to play cards or participate in game nights. Jeanette enjoyed playing pool during league nights at Bill's Bar. She also had a special bond of love for her pets.
Jeanette was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who treasured her time with her family. She was always her children's biggest supporter, adored all of her grandchildren, and found such joy in being a part of their lives. Her memory will forever be in our hearts, and those who loved her will deeply feel her loss.
In addition to her husband Lawrence, Jeanette is survived by four children; Kelly (Buddy) Ross of Sigel, PA, Dawn (Chuck) Potts of Hazen, PA, Kassandra Rager of
Brookville, PA, Seth Decker of
Brookville, PA; eleven grandchildren; Jenae Dawson, Ashlyn Ross, Brielle Ross, Ryon Ross, Wade Potts, Zoie Potts, Mckenna Potts, Connor Melton, Madelynn Melton, Alyssa Melton, Hailey Nichols; four great-grandchildren; Will Dawson, Brynlee Hetrick, Kaleb and Kamdyn Potts; one sister; Jackie Schuckers of NC; one niece; Tia Hetrick.
In addition to her parents, Jeanette was preceded in death by her brother; Jeff Tomski.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 11 am – 2 pm at the Carrier Funeral Home, 2834 Maplevale, Rd.,
Brookville, PA 15825. A funeral service will be held immediately following the viewing also at the Carrier Funeral Home beginning at 2:00 pm and officiated by Pastor Dean Smith.
Interment will take place privately at the Zion Methodist Cemetery, Eldred Twp., Jefferson Co., PA 15825. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carrier Funeral Home, 2834 Maplevale, Rd.,
Brookville, PA 15825.
