Jeanette Farwell Obituary

Jeanette graduated from Island Falls High School in 1956. In April 1959, she married Joseph Farwell in Great Falls, Montana, where Joseph was stationed in the Air Force.
Throughout her life, Jeanette worked as a CNA for many years and also as a receptionist and animal caretaker for "Doc" Newman - a role she treasured because of her deep love for animals. She was also a talented guitarist and singer who especially loved gospel music.
Jeanette enjoyed gardening, puzzles, word searches, and was a gifted artist. She loved picking wild berries with her children and her mother. Above all, she cherished visits from family, as family was her greatest joy and happiness.
She is survived by her three children: Ruth Hummell of Island Falls; Joe Farwell of Ft. Fairfield; Ron (Tammy) Farwell of Kenduskeag; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a sister Harriett White of Connecticut; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Joseph, and two brothers – Buddy and Sparky.
A graveside funeral service will be held Friday, August 15th at 11 am at Island Falls New Cemetery.
