Albert Hersey Obituary

Albert was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served under Gen. Douglas MacArthur at General Headquarters. After retiring from the service, he worked for New England Telephone Co. for 39 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, building camps and working on Farmall Tractors.
He is survived by two daughters, Barbara and Gene Lawlor of Oakfield, Angela and Kenneth Pratt of Hampden, one son, Neil and Becky Hersey of Ft. Fairfield, daughter in law Anne Odgers of Island Falls, 10 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, a close sister-in-law, Sonya Mitchell and her family, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Leah Mitchell Hersey, a son, Duane Hersey, and seven siblings, Evelyn, Ruby, Velma, Cora, Everett, Hilton, and LeRoy.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, June 9, 2025, at the Oakfield Cemetery, Ridge Road, Oakfield, with the Rev. Regginald Adams officiating. To share condolences and memories online visit www.bowersfuneral.com
