He shared his love of snowmobiling with his family, making many fond "trail" memories on countless adventures each season.
Dennis was an avid fisherman throughout his life, introduced to the sport by his father, every May they would go to Fish River Falls. He continued this tradition with his family. He had many fishing buddies and stories over the years.
In retirement, Dennis continued to utilize his management prowess further increasing his commitment to community service earning the reputation of the man that makes things happen. He was a true inspiration behind the growth and productivity of the Mapleton Lions Club taking on leadership roles (King Lion and Treasurer). He took great pride in the Lions Hall spending countless hours cleaning and renovating the building. He spearheaded countless events demonstrating his organizational/planning skills were essential for the many fundraising events, earning the Lion of the Year Award twice.
