Jeanette M. Houston departed this life at West Jefferson Medical Center on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the age of 62. She was a native of Westwego, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Jeanette was a graduate of L. W. Higgins High School and employed as a restaurant cook. Devoted mother of Antoinette Allen (Derrick) and Jeanetta Houston (Miesha). Daughter of the late Fred Hines and Ethel Henry. Stepdaughter of the late Alex Henry. Loving sister of Carl Houston, Eddie Houston, Sr., Carl, Fred, and Donrel Hines, Terraza Shears, Calvin Hamburg, Yolanda Howard, Sandrel Hines, Pat Hayes, and the late Antoinette McGee, Betty Brooks, Fred Houston, and Angel Henry. Forever love of the late Bryan Porter. Jeanette is also survived by her companion Thomas Saylor, 7 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor.
