Obituary of Jeanette May Wilson
Mrs. Jeanette May Wilson, age 65, of Gloversville, New York, died on Friday, November 12, 2021 at home with her loved ones following an illness.
She was born on May 25, 1956 near Seneca Lake, New York, the daughter of Gordon and Marilyn (Putman) Spencer. She graduated from Wheelerville High School and continued her education at Bible College. Following her secondary education, Jennie was employed as a Direct Support Professional by Lexington of Gloversville, where she enjoyed a 24-year career.
When Jeanette wasn't at work, she enjoyed attending estate sales, and she was known to be a collector of many things. She also was a gifted seamstress and loved to sew things for people. Jennie loved to go bowling, but her real love was spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
Jeanette is survived by her husband of 41 years: Kenneth W. Wilson Sr.; her children: Alex (Melissa) Wilson and Rosalie (Jerit) Wilson; her step-children: Jeannie (Randy) Jennings, Daniel (Crissy) Wilson, and Paula Hughes; her siblings: Wendy Parker, Martin Spencer, Ronnie Bradt, and Linda Cowart; and her step-sister, Sharon Fenstermacher.
She was predeceased by her parents and her step-son, Kenneth Wilson, Jr.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 4:00PM to 6:00PM, November 18, 2021 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville for a period of visitation. Masks will be required while in the building.
Memorial contributions may be made in Jeanette's memory to the James A. Brennan Memorial Humane Society, 437 Nine Mile Tree Rd., Gloversville, NY 12078.
