JEANETTE ZUCKERMAN

MAY 6, 1941- OCTOBER 3, 2025

Jeanette Zuckerman, 84, of Boca Raton, Florida passed away on October 3, 2025 at her home in Sonata Boca Raton. Jeanette was born in the Bronx, New York on May 6, 1941 to Josephine and Arsenio Pale. She lived most of her life in New York and spent many years working in NYC for the Postal Service developing new programs to better serve the mail system. Later on in life, together with her husband Stuart, they opened Francar Jewelers in Westchester, NY and in 2010 retired to Boca Raton to live out their golden years.

Jeanette loved socializing and enjoyed playing Bingo in local churches and synagogues, often driving her more elderly friends to and from functions. She was an excellent mahjong and poker player and played regularly with a large group of friends. She was a wonderful mother and an even better grandmother and greatgrandmother. She will be missed by her close-knit and loving family.

She was predeceased by her husband Stuart in 2021 and beloved grandson Kenneth Elmes, Jr. Jeanette will be lovingly remembered by her children, Frances M. Elmes and her husband Kenneth of Hopewell Junction, NY; Carolann Levasseur and her husband Thomas of Manchester, NH; Grandchildren Kyle Elmes and his wife Kristi, Ashley Elmes, Alexandra Martin (Elmes) and her husband Travis, Kristopher, Nicholas and Matthew Levasseur; great grandchildren, Jesse, Isabella, Sayriella and Joseph Levasseur, Maverick and Kinsley Elmes; nephew Dennis Colleti and his wife Linda, who took great care of her at all times, and nieces, Linda Costa, Jeannine Poleway, Alison Metzgroff, Michelle Gomez and Joseph Zuckerman.

Jeanette's family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff and her wonderful friends at Sonata of Boca Raton for the love and affection they showed to her during her difficult battle with MDS. There will be a memorial service held at Sonata of Boca Raton on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., second floor.

"1 can only hope to be even half the person my Nanny was. She was a woman of God, a woman of family, and the purest soul I have ever known. Her kindness was unshakable, her faith unbreakable, and her love unending. No matter what life put in her path she carried herself with resilience, grace and an open heart. She taught us how to cook with love, how to see the good in people, and how to hold family above all else. To know her was to love her... and to be loved by her was one of life's greatest gifts." - Ashley Elmes, Granddaughter
