Jeanie Langdon

Jeanie Langdon, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 26, 1943, in Dayton, Ohio, and graduated from Centerville High School in the Class of 1962.

Jeanie was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Frances Orrill, her son, Bradley Langdon, her grandchildren, Jordan Langdon and Kasara Lakes, and her brother, Ray Edward Orrill. She is also survived by her brother, Clifford (Pearl) Orrill, along with many other family members and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.

For 61 years, Jeanie was devoted to her husband, Ernie, with whom she shared a life filled with love, laughter, and compassion. Together they built a family that became the epicenter of her existence. Jeanie’s greatest pride and joy were her children, Dr. David (Richelle) Langdon, Daron (Amy) Langdon, Amy (Butch) Lehman, and Steve Langdon. Her legacy extends further through her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. She adored her grandchildren—Shelby (Hunter) Turner, Zachary (Regan) Langdon, Carter (Maddie) Langdon, Jared Langdon, Justin (Morgan) Langdon, Tyler Langdon, Clayton Langdon, Nicholas (Kira) Thiessen, Sophia (Chad) Brown, Adrianne (Kenneth) Albright, Madison Lehman, Noah Lehman, Joshua (Tiffany) Langdon, Jacob (Chazity) Langdon, and Hunter (Lauren) Langdon, Fischer Langdon—as well as her 24 great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and laughter.

Throughout her life, Jeanie was recognized for her sweet and kind spirit. She radiated warmth with the ability to make every person feel special, leaving a lasting impression on all those fortunate enough to know her. A woman of faith, Jeanie dedicated herself to God and exemplified the qualities of forgiveness, mercy, and love, often serving as the family peacekeeper in times of strife.

In her leisure time, Jeanie found solace and happiness in working in her flower beds, where she cultivated beauty with the same tenderness she offered her family. Her love for spending time with family was rivaled only by her devotion to her church. A fantastic singer with a beautiful voice, her melodies often graced family gatherings and church services alike.

For an impressive 45 years, Jeanie proudly ran her own cleaning business, where she dedicated herself to both residential and commercial properties. Her work was not just a means to provide, but a way for her to connect with people, share her warmth, and make each person feel special. Indeed, Jeanie possessed a remarkable ability to uplift everyone around her, embodying a pure, sweet soul that drew people in.

As we remember Jeanie, we celebrate a life lived beautifully, a pure soul who exemplified kindness and love in all she did. Through her cherished memories, the legacy of Jeanie Langdon will forever remain a guiding light for those who were blessed to know her.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 24, 2025 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Middletown. Pastor David Pinter to officiate.
