Jeanine Rasmussen Miles, 83, of Midvale, Utah passed away peacefully on January 02, 2025, surround by her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and a friend who will be deeply missed by all that knew her. Jeanine was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints which brought her comfort in knowing she would be with loved ones waiting for her on the other side.
Jeanine was born in Murray, Utah on January 08, 1941 to Clarence and Esther Rasmussen. She was the youngest of seven children and had three brothers and three sisters. Jeanine spent her childhood in Sandy, Utah.
Jeanine married Dr. Wyatt Miles in 1961 and they settled in Midvale, Utah where they built a loving home, raised their two children, and spent 62 years together. Jeanine is survived by daughter Stephanie (Lee) Alger, son Wyatt (Delynn) Miles, five grandchildren Dannielle (Shane) Petersen, Daneen (Jeff) Nielsen, Demri (Morian) Black, Alex Miles, Chad Miles, and twelve great grandchildren.
Jeanine was preceded in death by her loving husband Wyatt Miles, her parents Clarence and Esther Rasmussen, sisters Mary, Clarene, JoAnn, brothers Clarence, David, and Von.
Jeanine had a great love for her family and always wanted to take care of them. She was always concerned about her family’s wellbeing and worried about everything imaginable. She loved raising her children and watching them grow into adults and starting their families. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank both Serenity Hospice and Cascades at the Riverwalk for both the care and compassion they provided to mom along with the support they provided to the family.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM, with a viewing from 10:00 – 10:45 AM prior to the funeral. The viewing and funeral will take place at Midvale 3rd Ward Church, 7825 South Olympus Street Midvale, Utah 84047. Interment to follow at Herriman City Cemetery.
