Jeanne (Mathie) Block, age 73, of Louisville, Ohio passed on to eternal life on March 13, 2023. She was a lifelong resident of Louisville, Ohio and a 1967 graduate of Louisville High School. She retired after 35 years from Stark County Job & Family Services.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Helen (Jaeb) Mathie; her husband and love of her life, John Block Sr; and brothers, Homer Mathie Jr, Dick Mathie, Tom Mathie and John Mathie.
She will be loved and missed by her family. She is survived by her children: Erica (Jeff) Marshall, Adam (Ericka) Lynch, Charlotte (Jim) Riedl, John Jr (Christa) Block, Dan Block and Dave (Julia) Block; grandchildren: Cody, Ryan, Alicia, Sydney, Tiffany, Erin, Evan, Katelyn, Lindsay, Lauren, Isaiah, Raymond, Olivia and Max; great-granddaughter, Piper; siblings: Ed (Kathie) Mathie, Lois Dimmerling, Joe Mathie, Don (Dianne) Mathie, Mary (Clayton) Sponseller, Therese Mathie, and Bob Mathie; sisters-in-law: Dorothy Mathie and Donna Mathie; numerous nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 18, at Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home in Louisville, from 10 am to noon, followed by funeral services at noon. She will be laid to rest, beside her husband, in Union Cemetery, Louisville, Ohio. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Jeanne, please visit our Tree Store.
