Jeanne Brahm 88 of Rockland passed away on August 20, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Robert Brahm Sr. Jeanne is survived by her loving family: son Stephen Skinner of Norwell, daughter Mylene (Bernard Jr.) Lynch of Geneva, NY, grandson's Bernard Lynch III of Casper, WY and John "Jack" Lynch of Boston, sisters Lucienne (Jean-Claude) Tellier and Simone Phisel of Cherbourg, France; nephew David Phisel, niece Xaviere Phisel, great nephews Adrian and Rafael Phisel of Paris, France; stepchildren Robert Brahm Jr. (Lori)of Sandwich, Laura Dugan of Stoughton, Denise (Peter) Lochiatto of Stoughton and grandchildren Michael, Ricky, Andrew and Daniel. She will be sorely missed by her cherished westie "Gabby."
Jeanne was born on Nov 9, 1935, in Paris, France to Jerome and Simonne (Griffon) Phisel. The family owned and operated the hotel/restaurant le Moniteur in Calais before relocating to Cherbourg. In 1959 she emigrated to the United States and settled in Rockland where she raised her family.
Jeanne was a talented seamstress, at one time working in the Paris atelier of Givenchy and the shop NimbleFingers on Newbury Street, Boston. She also tutored French, earned a BA summa cum laude from U Mass Boston in 1979 and was a tax examiner with the IRS.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 14th at 9 AM at Holy Family Church, 403 Union St in Rockland. Burial will follow at Holy Family Cemetery.
Special thanks to the staff at Norwell VNA and the Pat Roche Hospice House for the compassion and care they gave Jeanne and her family. Donations in Jeanne's memory may be made to the Pat Roche Hospice House or the ASPCA.
