Jeanne Kathryn Billman Hendricks, affectionately known as Jeanne, peacefully passed away on the 26th of October 2025, at the age of 71 in Victoria, Texas. Born on June 13, 1954, in Taft, Texas, Jeanne was a beacon of strength and compassion, touching the lives of all who knew her.
Jeanne's early years in Taft were filled with love and laughter, surrounded by her devoted parents, Jack and JoNell Billman, and her siblings. She was a cherished sister to Johnny (Loni) Billman of Ingleside, Jerry (Linda) Billman of Pasadena, and the late Jackie Billman. Her spirit of kindness and her infectious smile would become her lifelong trademarks.
Jeanne pursued a career in law enforcement with unwavering dedication and a strong sense of duty. Her journey began at the Port Aransas Police Department and Port Aransas Fire Department, where her commitment to serving the community became evident. She continued her calling at the Aransas Pass Police Department, where she served with honor until her well-deserved retirement. Her colleagues will remember her for her bravery, integrity, and the mentorship she provided to many.
Her Christian faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and providing solace during times of trial. Jeanne's love for her family was immeasurable. She was a loving mother to Regina (Troy) Belt of Victoria and Tiffani Wood (Jeremy) of Corpus Christi. Her role as a grandmother was one she cherished deeply, bestowing wisdom and joy upon her seven grandchildren, Kasey Spohn, Andrew Spohn, Troy Belt Jr, Ashley Spohn, Jackson Davis, Lizzy Davis, and her great-grandchild, Billy Belt. Their memories of Jeanne will be treasured and recounted with fondness through the generations.
Jeanne's legacy is one of love, service, and an unwavering commitment to her family and community. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved her, but her influence will resonate for years to come. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and JoNell Billman, and her brother Jackie Billman. Jeanne's love and lessons will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, and her surviving brothers, Johnny and Jerry Billman, who will continue to honor her memory.
As we bid farewell to Jeanne Kathryn Billman Hendricks, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of purpose and generosity. Her story is not one of sorrow, but of inspiration-a reminder to cherish each moment and to lead with kindness.
