Jeanne Therese Asa of Dover passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Westminster Village, Dover. She was 96.
Mrs. Asa was born July 8, 1927 in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Wilfred Joseph Dugas.
She served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. After the military she went to work for the NSA National Security Agency at Ft. Meade, MD. Mrs. Asa was a member of the Capitol Baptist Church in Dover. She enjoyed meeting people and Bible study.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul D. Asa; sisters, Anne Regan and Betty Hesley.
She is survived by her sons, Stephen P. Asa and his wife Josie of Laurel, MD and Charles F. Asa and his wife Pamela of Greenwood, DE; grandsons, Paul D. and Franklin P. Asa.
Funeral services will be held 12 Noon, Thursday, April 25, 2024 at the Capitol Baptist Church, 401 Kesselring Avenue, Dover, DE 19904. A visitation will be held one hour prior. Interment will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the suggests contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association in her name.
