Jeannette A. Beatman
Jeannette A. Beatman, age 89 of Cranesville, Pa., passed away at her home on Thursday, October 24, 2024 with her family surrounding her.
Jeannette was born on November 20, 1934 in Erie, Pa., to the late Willard F. and Margaret (Schmidt) Stevens.
Jeannette graduated from the Albion High School and then worked at Gunnison Brothers Tannery in Girard where she retired after 40 years of dedicated service. Jeannette was always helping her family in various ways. She was a member of the Gertrude Barber Center Parent Group and she enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed bowling, hunting with her husband, Charlie, driving motorcycles and vacationing in Florida.
Besides her parents, Jeannette was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie in 2010 and a son, Scottie, an infant son, Noble and two son-in-laws, Jerry Hayes and Joseph Frederick; four grandchildren, Joel Lindsey, Blakelyn Hayes, Chad Beatman, and Kenneth Phillips; and an infant great-granddaughter; her brother, Willard “Bill” Stevens, four step-brothers, and one step-sister.
She is survived by her family, Sharon Hayes, Pam (Tony) Lance, Billie Leonheart and Mike Leonheart, Theresa Frederick, Robert (Barbara) Beatman, James (Jen) Beatman, and Ron Snow. She also is survived by two step-sisters, and brothers, Richard (Ann) Stevens and Tom (Beth) Stevens, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, October 27, 2024 from 3 until the time of the service at 6 p.m. at the Jean Evans Thompson Funeral Home, 11883 Main Street, East Springfield, PA. Burial will be in Springfield Cemetery.
