Jeannette Bright Gouldsmith

Jeanette Bright Gouldsmith, born on February 9, 1947, in Norfolk, Virginia, passed away on October 13, 2025, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, at the age of 78. Her life was marked by a distinguished career and cherished family ties.

Jeanette dedicated her professional life to serving her country. She worked at the Pentagon and later retired from the civil service for the government, leaving behind a legacy of commitment and diligence.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Jesse and Geraldine Bright, and her brother, Joseph Bright. Her memory will be lovingly carried forward by her devoted husband, Giles Gouldsmith; her sister, Gloria Jones, and her husband; as well as her stepsons, David Gouldsmith and his wife, Tammy, and Mark Gouldsmith and his wife, Laura. Jeanette also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren, Lucas, Penelope, Julian, and Jonah, who will continue to honor her spirit.
