Jearldean Lingar, age 84 of Carleton, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2025 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital.
Jearldean was born October 12, 1940 in Disney, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Jake and Cora (Madden) Hammac. She married William H. Lingar October 21, 1961, they would have celebrated their 64th anniversary in a few months.
She was a 1960 graduate of Monroe High School and a member of Bible Fellowship Church.
Jearldean enjoyed sewing, baking and going on family outings.
She is survived by her husband, William H. Lingar; two daughters, Vickie Michelle (Robert) Grant of Temperance and Sheila Renee Dye of Lincoln, NE; daughter-in-law; Debby Lingar; five grandchildren, Harrison Dye, Abraham Dye, Jason Lingar and his fiancée Elyse Coffman, Keith Lingar and Susan Grant.
Mama was the bed rock of our family. To say she was a homemaker diminishes her real value to us. She was entirely devoted to her family and her God. She was a woman of unquestionable character. As stated in Proverbs, she was a "virtuous woman, her value was far above rubies". She will be deeply missed by her family and her friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, son, Steven H. Lingar and two brothers, J.T. Hammac and Franklin Delano Hammac, son-in law, Dennis Dye.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 10 a.m. until funeral services at 12 p.m. at Bible Fellowship Church, 14395 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe. Rev. J.D. Walker will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. Bacarella Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Bible Fellowship Church Mission Fund.
