Jeff Duane Garner born in Wichita Kansas on May 21, 1974. Passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 after a lengthy illness at the age of 51. Son of Jim and Nancy Garner.
Jeff graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1993. He married his high school sweetheart Arionna Marie Garner, on September 24, 1994. They shared a marriage for over 30 years. From this love two daughters were born, Madison Marie and Cooper Rylee.
Jeff was a determined and hardworking man. He created his own business in drain cleaning. Worked in the maintenance department at Ransom Memorial Hospital and later worked his way up to Senior Manager of Operations at American Eagle Outfitter in
Ottawa, Kansas. Throughout Jeff's life he was also driven to help anyone that needed it.
Jeff was a simple man, he just needed his family. He was a loving husband and father to "his girls". Though he didn't show everyone, he was a romantic and a sweetheart. He loved to plan a good surprise with the goal of "giggles and smiles". Jeff's girls meant the world to him. He was always taking them on adventures, whether it was a simple drive, ice cream date, shopping trip, new places, senior daddy daughter trips, or a midnight mission, he always had a good time and a good laugh or two. He also shared an interest in strange, mysterious, and unique things. Like Darrell (Bigfoot), antiquing, and ghost hunting. Jeff could turn every adventure into a crazy hilarious story and he had a knack for making it believable. He could reel you in hook, line, and sinker.
Jeff loved camping, hunting, and fishing. He would wake up and be ready to go with the biggest smile on his face. At the end of the day it didn't matter if he caught anything, it only mattered the memories he made. These often entailed odd accommodations to make sure his girls were happy. Even if that meant he would weed eat the area they were going to sit in or put the worms on their hooks. It mostly entailed less fishing time for him and more time untangling their lines. Jeff even had a boat back in the day that he nicknamed "Paddle Back". The motor always worked going out on the water to find a spot, but seldom brought him back. So he would have to paddle back to shore.
Jeff loved to train and play with his grandpuppies; Echo Bravo, CoCo, Winnie and Mocha. Even though he often said "I don't like dogs!" His beautiful grandpuppies always caught others' attention. People would frequently stop to talk to him and let him know how beautiful the dogs were. He always responded with the same joke, "It's always the dog, never the owner."
Jeff had a way of making people feel important. He was truly one of a kind; "somehow he made stubbornness and being hard headed into being loved and true affection!"
