Beloved husband of Noreen (nee McDonagh) Mitchell. Dear father of Craig Mitchell, Cory (Natasa) Mitchell and Joe (Alyssa) Heitfeld. Devoted son of Catherine Manoff Mitchell and the late John Mitchell, Jr. Loving grandfather of Luka and Lucy Mitchell and Hale and Rowe Heitfeld. Dear brother of Kim Engel and uncle of Kelsey (Alex Gonzales) Engel. Best friend of the late Ken Walder. Brother in law of Mary Frances Hunter (Marvin), Bridget, Catherine, John, Eileen Kittleson (Brian), Mark McAdams and the late Rita McAdams and William McDonagh, Jr. Also survived by many extended family members and loving friends.
Visitation will be held at Neidhard Young Funeral Home, 7401 Hamilton Avenue, Mt. Healthy on Thursday, July 17 from 12 Noon until time of Celebration of Life service at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the UC Foundation. A gathering of family and friends will immediately follow the service at the American Legion Hall, 7947 Hamilton Avenue in Mt. Healthy.
