Jeff Muncie of Campbellsville, son of the late Jerry Wayne “Hardhead” Muncie and Janice Marie Barnett Muncie, was born February 23, 1966 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 12:30 P.M., Tuesday, January 14, 2025 as the result of a cardiac event at his home. Age: 58

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Elk Horn Baptist Church.

Jeff was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom, Fleetwood and Camp Kentahten and was later self-employed.

He united in marriage to Lee Ann Daffron April 15, 1988.

Jeff Muncie was a man who loved the Lord. His worldly ministry was love and forgiveness. He demonstrated that daily with his contagious smile and big hugs. Jeff had a way of making you feel like the only person in the room and had an innate ability to always see people for who they were on the inside, not judging what was seen on the outside. Jeff was a caregiver to many and fiercely loved his family. His love for Lee was undeniable. Anyone who was around them could see the love they had for each other. In her words, “He made me a better person.” His most favorite time was Saturday nights with Ava and Cale playing board games and eating popcorn and cookies. He loved all the kiddos in his family whether it was a sleepover with the great-nieces and grands or building a big bonfire in the back yard for them all! Jeff’s constant prayer was that every soul finds the love of Jesus. Even though we will selfishly miss him on this earth, we know he is rejoicing on the streets of gold. We will continue his legacy of love and forgiveness here on earth.

Besides his wife, Lee Ann Muncie, Jeff is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jeffery David and Lindsey Muncie; two grandchildren: Ava Kate Muncie and Cale Thomas Muncie; one sister, Cheryl Muncie Harmon; his step-mother, Faye Muncie; one brother-in-law and one sister-in-law: Terry and wife, Shari Daffron and Carol and husband, Mike Elmore of Campbellsville; three aunts: Carlotta Richardson and husband, Jim of Lebanon, Deloris Loy and Linda Kay Grimes and husband, Tommy, of Campbellsville; five nieces: Megan Harmon, Jessica Browning, Vanessa Smith and Torri Daffron, all of Campbellsville and Tessa Collins of Louisville and many other relatives and friends.
