Rita C. Muncie, 91, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2025 at Samaritan Hospice at Mount Holly.
Rita was predeceased by her parents, Salvatore and Anna Cipoletti, her husband Jacob Muncie Jr., and siblings, Louise Cipoletti, Ralph Cipoletti and Mary Gearhart as well as her dear friend Bob Hermann who took her on vacations of a lifetime all around the world.
Rita was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her sons Jacob Muncie III (Susan) of Pennington, NJ and Mark Muncie (Heather) of Southport, NC, grandchildren whom she cherished, Christopher Muncie (Polina), Allie Muncie (Andrew), and Alex Muncie and Great Granddaughter Adelynn Womack. Rita is also survived by siblings, Joseph Cipoletti, Phillip Cipoletti, and her beloved sister Anne Aja and her wonderful neighbors who were always there when she needed them, especially her good friend, Paul Zuckerman and his family.
Family was the most important part of Rita's life with precious memories of spending time and working at her parent's businesses in Seaside Heights and Palmyra alongside her siblings. Rita loved to laugh, dance, listen to music and watch old movies. A graduate of Palmyra High School, Rita worked to become a Hair Stylist and later in life enjoyed working at Cadbury Health Center in Cherry Hill, NJ. Rita's deep love for her family and her Italian heritage will be passed on for generations to come. She will also be remembered for singing love songs to her family in her last days.
A private service was held February 24, 2025 at Sacred Heart Church in
Riverton, NJ. She was laid to rest at St Peters Cemetery in Riverside, NJ next to her husband, sister, parents and grandmother.
