Robert (Bob) Lee Muncie, 78, of Raymond, Ohio passed away peacefully at home on May 2, 2025 surrounded by family.
He was born on May 6, 1946 to Linville and Virginia Muncie. Bob graduated from Madison South High School in 1966 before being drafted into the United States Army. There he bravely served two years in the Vietnam War as a medic and communications worker. When he returned, he worked in agriculture and factories.
Bob married Margaret on July 30, 1984, and together they shared 40 years of happy marriage.
He loved to go fishing and he loved woodworking. Bob never argued with anyone, and was a friend to all. He had a big heart and was always making his friends and family laugh. Bob shared many meals of fried chicken over the years with his family and friends. He was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, and even went to see them play once with his daughter Wendy.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Linville and Virginia Muncie; brothers Jim Muncie, Roger Muncie, and Linville Muncie; and daughter Wendy Newman.
He is survived by his loving wife Margaret Muncie; children Mike (Lisa) Muncie, Christopher Newman, Neil (Ellen) Newman, and Ginny (Ronnie) Howard; grandchildren Megan Muncie, Elizabeth Muncie, and Vance Howard; siblings Ralph Muncie, Richard Muncie, Linda Richmond, and Kathy Muncie; many nieces and nephews; and many friends.
