Jeffery Claussen

Jeffery Allen Claussen, age 69, of Butte, Nebraska passed away at his residence in Butte, Nebraska on August 11, 2025. Jeffery was born on June 10, 1956, in Grand Island, Nebraska. Jeffery attended school through the eighth grade. Thereafter, he worked on the family farm and for farmers around the Clearwater, Nebraska area. In 1974, Jeffery enlisted in the United States Army, he was stationed in Hawaii. Jeffery was discharged in 1977. In 1979, Jeffery met the love of his life, Denise Renae Kulhavy. They were united in marriage on October 5, 1984, in O'Neill, Nebraska. To this marriage they welcomed their four children: Cody Allen, Jeri Jo, Bobbi Jo, and Sara Nicole. Jeffery, Denise, and their children lived in Atkinson for many years before moving to Butte in 1995, where they settled their family. Jeffery worked for an array of farmers in the Holt and Boyd County area throughout his life, ending his working career with Shawn Hagberg Trucking before he became disabled by a stroke in 2010. Jeffery was active in antique tractor pulling, he enjoyed many outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, and attending many rendezvous in his younger years. Jeffery was left to mourn the loss of his wife Denise in 2015. Jeffery resided at the family home, where he enjoyed visits from his children, grandchildren, friends, and his beloved dogs Missy and Burbon.
Jeffery is survived by his children, Cody, Jeri, Bobbi, and Sara; Grandchildren Harleigh, Alizae, Broghan, Ethan, Blake, Brittyn, CoyLane, Lilyana, KyeLynn, Haydenn, Owen, Hudsynn, Zuri, and Alana; step-grandchildren Adrianna, Josie, Kaydenn, and Haylee, two brothers Kevin and Randy, and many nieces and nephews. Jeffery is proceeded in death by his wife of 30 years, Denise, his parents, and brother-in-laws Morris and Dale.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial account has been set up at Nebraska Bank in Atkinson, Nebraska for future designation.
