Jeffery Wayne Dye

Bluffton Jeffery Wayne Dye, 70, passed away October 18, 2025 at his residence in Bluffton. Jeffery was born June 23, 1955 in Lima, Ohio to the late James and Peach (Wireman) Dye. On December 23, 1974 he married Cynthia Bucher Dye who preceded him in death on November 28, 2018. Jeff retired from Phillips Corporation in Ottawa. He was a jack of all trades. Jeff was an outdoorsman who loved especially fishing and camping. He was a licensed ham radio operator but most of all, Jeff loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a proud to have served in the United States Army. Survivors include two children, Jeff (Kari) Dye of Marysville, Amy (Brad) McKee of Mount Cory; six grandchildren, Connor, Austin, Adilyne, Maia, Leo and Lainey; three brothers, James (Deborah) Dye, Mike (Pam) Dye, Mickey (Lisa) Dye; two sisters, Barbara (Tom) Collier, Melissa Woodruff and numerous nieces and nephews. Jeff was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael and a sister, Doris Dye. Jeff's memorial service will begin at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services.
