JEFFERY LYNN RICHTER, age 68, of Greenfield, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning on February 9, 2025 at Cedarvale Commons Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center after a brief stay.
He was born on April 5, 1956 in San Diego, California to the late Charles and Wilma (Cross) Richter. He attended Greenfield McClain High School. Jeffery proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and departed with an honorable discharge. After returning to civilian life, he was employed at Johnson Controls in Greenfield until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Jeffery was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife, Barbara (McMurray) Richter, whom he married on March 17, 1993.
Survivors include his children, Honey (Chuck) Kyle, Jacob Richter, and Hunter Storm (Donald) Bragg; grandchildren, McKenzie (Blake) Hammock, Logan Scott (Brooklyn Looker) Robinson, Shi-Anne (Jake Ross) Kyle, CJ Kyle, Sierra Kyle, Nathan Kyle, Lane Kyle, River Bragg, and Fisher Bragg; great-grandchildren, Emery, Greyson, Gracelynn, Carter, Lydia, and Elliott; and sister, Shawna (Dave) Ross. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.
