Jeffrey Adams

Waterville-With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jeffrey David Adams of Waterville, who left us on July 30, 2025, at the age of 66. He was a beloved father, brother, and grandfather whose spirit will forever remain etched in the lives he touched.

Jeff was born March 4, 1959, in South Boston, MA, as one of 10 children to parents Silas and Irene Adams. For over 35 years he worked at Mid-State Machine, where he was known for his skill, reliability, and unwavering commitment to the company. He was a man of heart and quiet strength. He had a deep love for being behind the wheel of his four-wheeler with his dear late friend Dan. Whether it was a rocky path, a muddy back road or open railbeds; he was always at home when the engine roared, and the trails unfolded before him.

He enjoyed many years fishing with his son David where they both learned a little about themselves and each other, side by side on the water's edge. A builder by nature, Jeff had a gift for working with his hands. Whether he was fixing something broken or creating something new, he poured his heart into every project. His creativity and craftsmanship will live on in the things he built.

Jeff is survived by his only child; son David Adams and wife Nikki of Vassalboro and his two beloved granddaughters Aaliyah and Fury. He is also survived by his only brother Silas "Tom" Adams of Abbington, MA, and 8 sisters: Virginia Haight and husband Richard of Aldie, VA; Carol Petro of Braintree, MA; Irene Upperman of Pepperell, MA; Pamela Costello and husband John of Beavercreek, OH; Marcia Upperman of New Hampton, NH; Mary Darcy and husband Thomas of Weymouth, MA; Paula Cowell and husband James of Mansfield, MA; and Lisa Foote and husband Anthony of Derry, NH.

Jeff is predeceased by his loving parents Silas L. and Irene B. Adams of South Boston, MA. As well as sister-in-law Christine Adams, and three brothers-in-law; Donald Petro, Robert Upperman, and Thomas Upperman.

He leaves behind a legacy of generosity and a deep appreciation for the simple joys in life. He will be missed more than words can express.

A casual Celebration of Life will be held at the Winslow VFW on Sunday, September 7th, 2025, with open hours from 1pm-4pm. All are welcome.

Rest easy, Dad. May your days be filled with cold Miller Lites, muddy tires and perfectly straight 2x4's.
