Parkman - With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of David L. Michaud, 70, on Friday August 15, 2025, after a courageous battle with illness. He passed peacefully at home, with support and love.

For over a year David faced his illness with strength, family encouragement, and faith. David worked hard all his life, dedicating over 30 years as a flooring installer with Marden's before retiring. He found joy in simple things-spending time in "God's Country" hunting and fishing with friends and family at Camp, always taking on new "projects." In retirement, he proudly built a new home in Parkman, where he enjoyed the peacefulness of small-town life and, true to his nature, never stopped working on the "projects" he loved.

David is survived by his wife Joan Michaud, eldest son David Michaud and wife Kellie, son DJ and daughter Kailee of Wichita KS, son Christopher Michaud and his son Daniel, and sons Jonathan Michaud, and Brian Michaud of Oakland, ME. Also survived by sibling Dianna Chapman of Thomaston, and numerous nieces and nephews. David will also be remembered by a special lifelong friend very dear to him, Mark Clark.

A Celebration of Life followed by a burial at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 78 Grove Street, Waterville, will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm Street, Waterville. An online guestbook may be signed; condolences and memories shared at www.gallantfh.com.
