Jeffrey Ray Beougher, age 75, passed away at his residence on August 18th, 2024. He was born on May 23rd, 1949 in Logan, OH to Dorothy L. Geil (Beougher) and Ray H Beougher.
Jeffrey was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor in April of 2023 and fought a courageous battle for months before succumbing to the aftermath of his treatment plan.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his children, Amy DaLynn Beougher of Logan, OH and Jason Ray Beougher of Rockbridge, OH. Jeffrey is also survived by his only grandchild, Lillian Kay Beougher who was his whole world. He made sure that she never went without and always went above and beyond to be the best grandpa he could be to her. He is also survived by a brother, Jay Geil Beougher of Logan, OH. Jeffrey leaves behind his two beloved rescue beagles, Abby and Bonnie as well as three fur grandchildren, Boo, Charlie Jo and Helga.
Jeffrey retired from General Electric of Logan as a maintenance mechanic. He was known as a, "jack of all trades." There wasn't much he didn't know about and was often referred to as, "Professor Mole." He was a lover of wildlife and greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing and anything outdoors. Jeffrey enjoyed planting food plots and sitting in the heated tree stand he built for observing deer. He also enjoyed sniping coyotes from his bedroom window nightly. There were times he would be up all night. Jeffrey always cherished the memory of the trip to Alaska with his grandfather, Charlie Geil when he was 19 years old. It was always his dream to return to Alaska to big game hunt but unfortunately that dream never came true.
Jeffrey also enjoyed riding dirt bikes as a teenager and continued into adulthood where he competed in Enduro's with his brother. He always loved riding dirt bikes and did so up into his 50's. He was a bit of an adrenaline junkie. Jeffrey got jet ski's with his daughter at the age of 70. In true adrenaline junkie fashion, he got the really fast one. Jeffrey was also a member of the Hocking Valley Motorcycle Club as a young adult.
There will be no services. Jeffrey will be cremated. His children and granddaughter are planning a trip to Alaska in the future and will spread his ashes there. Jeffrey's children would like to thank Fairhope Hospice for all of the wonderful care and services they provided. They would also like to extend a huge thank you and appreciation to the private aides, Shelley Mauger and Beth Guisinger for taking good care of him.
