Barbara Ann Beougher, age 81, of Galena, Ohio went to her eternal home on Good Friday, April 18, 2025, with loving family by her side. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on August 8, 1943, to the late Robert Streng and Mary Elizabeth (Hiemerl) Streng.
Barb graduated from Grandview High School. She married the love of her life, David L. Beougher, on September 10, 1967. They shared 50 wonderful years of marriage until David's passing in 2018.
Barb was a woman of deep faith and loved her Jesus. She was a longtime member of Genoa Baptist Church in Westerville, Ohio making many friends within her church over the years. Barb enjoyed crocheting and crafting, and especially loved crocheting crosses for the church, her friends and her family.
When her children and grandchildren played sports, she attended all the events. She ran the concession stands at Friday night football for years. Barb especially loved being a Leader of the Girl Scouts. She had great memories of helping the girls earn their patches and hosting the meetings.
Barb was one of the most giving people you could ever meet. There was not a holiday or special occasion that she did not either attend or host, cook or make a covered dish, decorate her home, and give gifts to everyone. Barb loved sending cards in the mail, and if you received a card from her, you meant something to her.
Barb loved being a wife, mom, grandma and great-grandma. She also loved adopting people throughout her lifetime that she also considered her family. Barb was spunky, thoughtful, and kind. She was a unique lady that will be forever loved and deeply missed by all.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Brian E. Beougher, Megan M.L. (Thomas) McDonnell, and Matthew S. (Amy) Beougher; grandchildren, Nickolas (Ashlee), Emylee, Tylor (Nick), Duke, Donna (Dillon), Andrea (Skyler), and David; great-granddaughter, Ella; and sister, Marilyn Sue (Allen) Schinck.
On Saturday, June 7, 2025 a gathering will take place from 1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. with a memorial service beginning at 2:30 p.m. at Genoa Baptist Church, 7562 Lewis Center Road, Westerville, Ohio 43082. Pastor Wayne Booth officiating.
