Jeffrey Brennan Obituary

Jeffrey P. Brennan, 62, passed away March 7, 2022 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Jeffrey was born November 19, 1959 in Scranton, Pennsylvania to Gerald and Elizabeth Brennan.
After High School, Jeffrey joined the U.S. Navy, serving on the USS Badger at Pearl Harbor, HI (1986-1990). While serving his country he earned the Good Conduct Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Meritorious Unit Commendation, and the Humanitarian Service Medal before he was Honorably Discharged. He was a Honolulu Police Officer in the 1990's. Jeffrey was currently working for his fellow Veterans as an Inventory Management Specialist for the VA Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Jeffrey was a loving, generous, amazing husband and father, who had a heart of gold. Jeffrey will be remembered as a great brother. He relished his Irish heritage, was full of life and laughter. He loved visiting Pennsylvania, especially Knoebel's Amusement Park. He will be remembered as a good, good man deep to his core and a friend to everyone, a jokester, who could make anyone laugh. His own laughter could be heard a mile away and he was the life of the party wherever he went.
Jeffrey enjoyed boating, fishing, and coaching little league baseball and softball. He loved cooking, especially on the grill.
Survivors include his devoted wife, Sandy Brennan of Port St. Lucie, FL; children, Jeffrey Ryan (Briana Casey) Brennan of Port St. Lucie, FL, Stephanie H. Brennan of Port St. Lucie, FL and Taylor E. Brennan, of Port St. Lucie, FL; mother, Elizabeth "Betty" Brennan of Scranton, PA; siblings, Judith Kosik, Gerald Brennan Jr, John Brennan, Joan Harrington, Joseph (Janet) Brennan, Jacqueline (James) Cortese, all of Scranton, PA. He will also be missed by nieces and nephews, David (Ted) Kosik of Alexandria, VA, Megan Kosik, Jessica (Mike) Tornambe, and Joshua Brennan, all of Scranton, PA and great-nephews, Judah Galella and Michael Tornambe, as well as numerous cousins. He was preceded by his father, Gerald H. Brennan.

I knew Jeff from working together in security at Palm Beach. I remember the years of going to Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando with him and his son. We had some good times going fishing when he first got his boat. He was definitely fun to be around and one helluva laugh. Although I didn't keep in touch with him I was shocked to hear of his passing. My deepest condolences to Sandy and children.

We would like to pass along our deepest sympathies to Jeff's family, friends and co-workers.

I never had a chance to meet Jeff face to face but we developed a wonderful friendship over the phone over the years. Funny how a person 2000 miles away can become someone you enjoyed hearing from regardless that it was Jeff calling to purchase items for the VA. We would share stories about our military service, family, fishing, grilling and drinking a cold Coors.

I will miss Jeff and that twice a month phone call!

God Speed my friend,

Steve

We moved into the neighborhood the end of 2015 and Jeff was the first one to come over and welcome us and extend a helping and very friendly hand with that big smile he always had.
We could always see how dedicated and how much he loved his family and wonderful from the comments to see how much he was loved by friends and his work family.
Our love goes out to his wife Sandy and all his family for such a loss as this. Jeff will truly be missed in the neighborhood.

Even though we are a long way from the Ala Wai, the family that was created there between the Carters, the Brennans and the Kaspers withstands miles, years, happiness and heartache. Sandy and family, please know that my whole heart is with you. Anyone who knew Jeff knew that there were not enough words or even one that could explain what a gift you received when you met him. Jeff and Sandy as a couple were amazing role models for a newly married couple like Bill and I. I will never forget the surprise baby shower that they put together for us. We were so so very fortunate . Hoaloha. Sonya Kasper and sons.
