Dr. Jeffrey Harry Carlisle

Dr. Jeffery Harry Carlisle went to be with the Lord on September 12, 2023 at his home just outside North Topsail Beach, NC. Born on April 12th, 1965 in Gary, Indiana, Jeff spent most of his youthful years growing up in Northwest Indiana where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, friends, family, and occasional mischief. This outdoorsy background naturally led Jeff swiftly through his undergraduate education and into the Chiropractic field much like is father, William and brother Micheal who followed. Jeff graduated from Lincoln Chiropractic College in Lombard, Illinois. He first practiced with his father in Charlotte, North Carolina before branching out on his own. Jeff conceived, built, and successfully ran a number of Chiropractic practices in his own unique style before selling those practices once they matured. In doing so, Jeff helped a number of young Chiropractors start their careers with a business model that worked. Repeating this a number of times, Jeff's hustle and business acumen allowed him to "semi-retire" and travel the world before settling in a place he loved, North Topsail Beach, with his son Brian and his partner Joy.
Jeff left us entirely too soon but not before he traveled North America and the Far East / Australia extensively with Joy and Brian. When not travelling, Jeff enjoyed golfing with friends from Charlotte or the boys at the North Shore Golf Course plus countless practice rounds with Brian. He loved fishing the waters around North Topsail Island – whether it was from his boat, the beach, or the Seaview Fishing Pier nearby. As fishermen go, Jeffery was better than most. Jeff also loved a good book now and then.
Jeff was predeceased by his brother, Brian Massengill.
He is survived by his loving partner, Mary Joy Winham, and their son, Brian Carlisle. He is also survived by his mother, Alice Massengill (Meiselbar) of Hobart, and his late father William Carlisle (Tammy) of Georgetown, SC. He also leaves behind a number of brothers, Greg (Mia) Carlisle of Charlotte, NC, Dr. Michael (Maria) Carlisle of Charlotte, NC, Vance Carlisle of Asheville, NC, Craig (April) Carlisle of Charlotte, NC, Scott (Kelly) Carlisle, of Ft. Mill. SC, and Grant Carlisle, of Washington, DC. And we cannot forget "Mama" Winham. He also leaves behind countless nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.
Jeff lived life in a way he saw fit. He did not seek out much advice. And when he sought your counsel, it meant he valued what you had to say. Jeff rarely met a stranger who did not take to him. But most importantly, Jeff lived his life for his son Brian and partner Joy.
