Jeffrey L. DeCare
November 24, 1958 - January 10, 2025
MEXICO, NY - Jeffrey L. DeCare. 66 of Mexico, NY; passed away Friday January 10, 2025, at Upstate University Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born in Ilion, NY son of the late Raymond and Grace Glenister DeCare.
He was a graduate of Mexico Academy and Central Schools. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a salesman for Davis Brothers until his retirement in 2023. He was previously employed at Citi BOCES in Janitorial Services. Jeffrey was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Mexico NY. He was a member of the Oswego County Comets. Jeff would always give a great big hug and a smooch.
Jeffrey is survived by his son, Reed DeCare; his daughter, Haylee M. DeCare; his brother, Michael (Vicky) DeCare; his sister Pamela (Jeff) Ouderkirk along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be celebrated at 6 p.m. Wednesday January 15, 2025, from the Harter Funeral Home, Inc. Mexico, NY. Relatives and Friends are invited to call from 3-6 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Spring Burial will take place in New Haven Cemetery.
