Jeffrey Brent "Jeff" Hill

Billy Graham once quoted, "Someday you will read or hear that I am dead. Don't you believe a word of it. I shall be more alive than I am now. I will have just changed my address. I will have gone into the presence of God."
MOUNT CARMEL – Jeffrey "Jeff" Brent Hill, 53, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by his loving family at his home in Mt. Carmel on Friday, January 3, 2025, after a courageous battle with glioblastoma.
Jeff was born on January 21, 1971, in Kingsport. He graduated from Volunteer High School and Northeast State. Early on Jeff worked in the trucking industry in various roles such as mechanic, driver and scheduler. He later went on to sell commercial truck tires for various companies and as his own business owner. He was also employed at Eastman and BAE. He was most recently a Business Development Manager for Snider Fleet Solutions.
Faith was the cornerstone of Jeff's life. He was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, youth Sunday school teacher, bus driver, and worked on service projects with the men's ministry. Jeff found a specific love for helping others by building ramps for handicap access after attending a youth mission camp in KY that provided ramps and porches to the needy. Jeff knew there was a need in this area. He founded Renewal Outreach Ministries (R.O.M.) to provide those services in our area while teaching youth about God's love and how to serve others.
Jeff's servant heart also led him to participate in many organizations and activities with his children. He was a scoutmaster with Boy Scouts of America, coached various sports, assisted Volunteer High School Band with equipment and travel and he was a substitute teacher for Hawkins County Schools in his spare time.
Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Harry and Mattie Bishop, and Hubert Hill and Irene McGhee; and his Special dad, Clifford Light.
Surviving Jeff is his loving wife of 31 years, Donna Robinson-Hill; the light of his life, his four children, Chandler Hill (Krista), Chloe Hill Mitkos (Nick), Olivia Hill (Fiancé, Austin), and Eli Hill; Pop's special girl, his granddaughter, Eden Everleigh Hill; devoted mother, Linda Light; father, Kenneth Hill; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jeff was a friend to all, very talkative, energetic, and full of life. His beautiful smile and infectious laugh lit up a room.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 PM on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at Ridgeview Baptist Church, 234 Hurd Road Church Hill, TN 37642.The celebration of life will follow in the church sanctuary with Pastor Jon Rogers officiating. In lieu of flowers and in celebration of Jeff's generous spirit, you may bring canned goods or nonperishable food items to the service to be placed in the "Love Thy Neighbor Blessing Box" located in Church Hill.
