Jeff R. Kravitz, 82, of Toms River, New Jersey, passed away on November 14, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, honesty, and unwavering devotion to the people he loved. Born in Perth Amboy, N.J., Jeff grew up with strong family values that shaped the loyal, hardworking, and generous man he became.
Jeff graduated from Woodbridge High School in 1961 and went on to pursue engineering at the Milwaukee School of Engineering in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (1969) and an Associate's Degree in Metallurgical Engineering.
He made his home in Silverton, NJ, where he had lived since 1973, building a life centered on family, community, dedication, and his deep love for the water.
Jeff spent many years as the proud owner of K&K Machine Shop, earning a reputation for craftsmanship, fairness, and treating employees and customers like extended family. He later continued his career as a plant manager at Andritz, bringing the same precision, leadership, and hands-on problem-solving that defined his entire life.
Deeply connected to his community, Jeff served on the Board of Directors at the Riviera Bay Beach Club, a place that brought him joy, friendship, and a strong sense of belonging.
A lifelong waterman, Jeff found his greatest peace on a boat, near the bay, or anywhere he could feel the breeze and smell the salt air. The water wasn't just a pastime-it was truly a part of who he was.
Known for his quick wit, generous spirit, and ability to make anyone laugh, Jeff had a warmth that made people feel at ease. He was the person who showed up-always ready to lend a hand, fix what was broken, or brighten someone's day with his humor and heart.
Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Reyna; his sons Jay, Dale, and Paul; and his sister Susan. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, humor, and the steady strength of a man who lived fully and loved deeply.
A service to honor Jeff's life will be held at a later date. His family takes comfort in knowing that his memory will continue to live on through the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the love he gave so freely. May Jeff's spirit remain forever in the hearts of all who knew him.
