Jeffrey Lay Largey of Fairhaven passed away on Friday November 8, 2024 after living a full life of 74 adventurous years.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 24 years Peggy and his loving four-legged companion Tucker; his son, Richard Jonathan Largey, his wife Andrea, and newborn son Rowan Hank Largey of Jackson Hole, Wyoming; his twin sister, Jennifer Ferguson and her husband Dr. Norman Ferguson of Tyler, Texas; his niece, Dr. Summer McGeever and her husband Adam and daughter Bridget of Mendon, MA; his niece, Heather Denman and son Austin of Rockwell, Texas; as well as many longtime beloved friends that were considered family.
Jeff had many lifelong passions including carpentry, cooking, surfing, scuba diving, and water skiing. He was born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and traveled and lived in many places from Nantucket to Florida.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanne Green Largey; his father, John Richard Largey, Sr.; his brother, John Richard Largey, Jr.; and his sister, Jill Catherine Largey.
Knowing that Jeff was a man of strong Christian faith, we thank the Lord for each day that he was with us and the example he set for us.
To God be the glory!
A celebration of his life will take place at a later date. Arrangements are by the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.

The world is a poorer place without Jeff, and heaven is certainly much richer with him. He was the kindest, sweetest, and most gentle man I ever met.
