Jeffrey Edward Leo, known warmly as Jeff to all who had the joy of crossing his path, completed his vibrant journey on earth on July 3, 2025. Born on the brisk autumn day of November 18, 1972, in the bustling city of Manhattan, Jeff's zest for life was evident from the start. He departed from this world in the peaceful surroundings of Somers, New York, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and a spirit of adventure that will forever resonate in the hearts of those he touched.
Jeff is lovingly remembered by his devoted family: his mother, Adella Panaligan Leo; his father, Edmund Kilawilla Leo; his sister, Jennifer Leo; his nephew, Ryan Benjamin Rousseau ; and his fiancée, Krista Collins, who together with their beloved yellow Labrador, JJ, shared countless memorable escapades. Throughout his life, Jeff served his community with dedication as a Fire and Life Safety Director. His commitment to ensuring the well-being of others was not just a job but a calling, one that he pursued with the same fervor he applied to every aspect of his life. A man of deep catholic faith, Jeff walked through life with the Lord by his side, his humor a testament to the joy of a life lived in service to God and others.
He navigated life's ups and downs with the grace of a boxer dancing around the ring-his favorite sport and a metaphor for his approach to life's challenges. Jeff's love for the outdoors was infectious. He was an avid sports enthusiast, with a particular fondness for boxing, but he also found solace in the rhythmic pounding of his feet on the running trails, the splash of his paddle while kayaking, and the tranquility of swimming. Hiking with Krista and JJ was among his greatest pleasures, as they explored the natural wonders that mirrored his own free spirit. Social gatherings were never dull with Jeff around. He was indeed the life of the party, his infectious energy elevating every barbecue, every poolside chat, and every shared sunset. His passion for life was matched only by his love for his family and friends, with whom he shared his deepest joys and grandest dreams.
Described by those who knew him as passionate, loving, and adventurous, Jeff's legacy is one of a life embraced fully and shared generously. His laughter, a melody that will echo in our memories, reminds us that life is not just to be lived-it's to be celebrated. As we bid farewell to Jeff, we hold onto the light he left behind-a light that will continue to guide us through our own journeys, encouraging us to live with the same courage, love, and laughter that he did. Jeff's story may have reached its earthly conclusion, but the chapters he wrote in the lives of those he loved will be read and cherished for. https://www.tributeslides.com/tributes/show/RPPPQD6RFW98MZDL
