Mr. Jeffrey Todd Loy, 60, of Mebane passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 after a courageous four year health battle.
Jeff was born on August 6, 1962 in Alamance County to Sandra Ward Griffin and Noble Wayne Loy. A joyful Christian man, he brought laughter everywhere he went. He never knew a stranger and was quick to make friends. A longtime member of First Baptist Church of Whitsett, Jeff was a faithful witness of Christ and talked with and prayed for others even amidst his own health struggles. After his career at Mead West Vaco (Mebane Packaging), he refinished furniture and collected antiques, often displaying his items for sale in his booth at Granddaddy’s Antique Mall. He loved his family deeply and they will forever miss his warmth and sense of humor.
Jeff is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Rebekah Williamson Loy; daughter, Kristen Loy and boyfriend Joe Cook; son, Ethan Loy and wife Emily; mother, Sandra W. Griffin; father, Noble Wayne Loy and wife Nora; brothers, Noble Wayne “Chuck” Loy, Jr. and wife Carla and Jonathan Barbee and wife Araceli; sister, Kim Stevens; numerous nieces and nephews; and many extended family members.
A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held Friday, February 10, 2023 at 1:30 PM at First Baptist Church of Whitsett with Pastor Tim Stevens and Pastor Darrell Massey officiating. Interment will follow the service at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 5 – 7 PM at Lowe Funeral Home.
